Celtic Wood and Wires

Celtic Wood and Wires is a five-member band from the Williamsport area of central Pennsylvania. The band formed in early 2018 and has evolved into the band as all of our fans know it today. We play upbeat, traditional songs and tunes from Ireland, Scotland and a wee bit of Appalachian. We do have a number of originals of our own and are working on more. We've been playing throughout central PA from the northern to the southern borders and New York state. We have a great following and keep the crowds during our shows.

The members of the band are Sandi Finnerty, Shelley Whitnack, Stacie Lyn Houser, Carl Kirby and Carl Finnerty.

A little about each member...

Sandi – vocals, fiddle, mandolin and guitar. She is a founding member of Celtic Wood and Wires

Shelley – vocals, fiddle, viola and ukulele

Stacie – vocals, Irish whistle, bagpipes

Carl K. – guitar, fiddle, banjo and vocals

Carl F. – vocals, bodhran drum and handles the business affairs

We released our first album in September 2021, "Close The Back Door", Our second album, “Into The Music” went live in September 2024! We are so happy with this album! You will hear well-know traditional songs & tunes along with originals from our former band mate Michael J. Miller and two originals & gifted to us from our friends Michael Lundy (Prairie Dogma, Rec Room Radio Hour) and Steve Kerns (Electric Coast)! Both albums are available on CD along with all of the major digital platforms including Bandcamp, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, YouTube, Pandora and many others. Stats from our digital providers shows that we have been downloaded and streamed literally around the world!

Since January of 2022, we have had multiple songs featured on multiple episodes of Marc Gunn’s Irish & Celtic Music Podcast, which is broadcast world-wide. We are thrilled to have our current fans and new fans listening to us around the world!

On March 17th, 2022, St. Patrick’s Day, we received the Spot Award for "Best World Music" for 2021 from the Central Pennsylvania Music Awards Hall of Fame. We were honored and humbled to receive such an award, especially with all of the amazing talent here in Pennsylvania. We again received a CPMHOF nominations for "Best World Music Band/Artist" for 2022 and “Best Celtic Music” for 2023. We thank those that nominated us along with the CMPHOF for recognizing what we do! We thank our families, friends and fans! We are here today because of their support!

Our music is not just for St. Patrick’s Day. Celtic Wood and Wires, along with many other bands in our genre, play year-round. We play all types of venues and events...
